Former Deputy General Secretary for the New Patriotic Party (NPP) Nana Obiri Boahen has asked Ghanaians to be careful when commenting on issues regarding Huang Ruixia alias Aisha Huang
Reports indicate that Huang Ruixia alias Aisha Huang after she was deported has resurfaced in Ghana and is still engaging in illegal mining.
The Chinese national owns a Ghana Card and is said to have changed her name in order to gain entry to Ghana through one of the country’s porous borders.
But commenting on the issue which has been the center of discussions, Nana Obiri Boahen indicated that it’s imperative that the issues are put into perspective because Ghana is not the only country with a porous border and security systems.
“Even in Austria, Germany, and Denmark with high-security standards drug barons are able to enter. In the USA you have the drug barons from Mexico, Venezuela, and Costa Rica coming in through illegal means and they cannot be tracked. These people leave the USA for UK and Italy. Even with systems, it can be breached.
So you can’t say she was deported and she came back. People beat the system all the time. It could be that she came through Togo. I’ve read something that she has two Chinese Passports.
It could even mean that she came directly through Kotoka because now she has another passport. So we need to be very careful when we are commenting on such issues. Calls on people to resign are not called for,” he said.
