Ghana’s First Lady, H.E. Lordina Dramani Mahama, together with other First Ladies and global leaders, attended an Exhibition on Digital Empowerment for Women and Girls at the China National Museum of Women and Children.
The event was held at the invitation of China’s First Lady, H.E. Peng Liyuan, and formed part of activities marking the Global Leaders’ Meeting on Women taking place in Beijing.
The exhibition showcased innovative initiatives that leverage digital technology to promote gender equality, enhance education, and empower women and girls to participate actively in the digital economy.
The participation of Ghana’s First Lady underscores the country’s commitment to women’s empowerment, gender equality, and digital inclusion.
It also aligns with President John Dramani Mahama’s broader vision of promoting inclusive development and ensuring that Ghanaian women are equipped to thrive in the rapidly evolving global digital landscape.
“Empowering women and girls through digital skills is essential for national progress. When women are given equal access to technology and education, entire communities are transformed,” the First Lady noted in remarks during the event.
H.E. Lordina Mahama’s presence at the exhibition highlights Ghana’s active engagement in international initiatives that promote social and economic development through innovation and technology.
