Minister for Foreign Affairs and Regional Integration, Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa, has commended President John Dramani Mahama for what he describes as outstanding leadership and transformative governance since assuming office.
Speaking in Beijing, China, where he is part of President Mahama’s official delegation for a series of bilateral and investment meetings, Mr. Ablakwa praised the President’s record of achievements across multiple sectors of national life.
“Since assuming the Presidency, he’s fixed all the problems he inherited. He’s fixed the economy, he’s fixed healthcare and only a few days ago, he also fixed our football. Ghana has qualified for the World Cup!” the Foreign Affairs Minister declared.
Mr. Ablakwa said Ghana’s recent qualification for the FIFA World Cup symbolizes the nation’s renewed confidence and progress under President Mahama’s leadership.
He noted that President Mahama’s administration has been proactive in stabilizing the economy, expanding access to healthcare, and implementing policies that have restored hope among Ghanaians.
“This administration has demonstrated that visionary and decisive leadership can deliver real results for our people,” Mr. Ablakwa added. “From economic growth to social welfare and national pride, President Mahama has shown unwavering commitment to Ghana’s transformation.”
President Mahama is in Beijing for a Presidential Investment Forum and a series of high-level bilateral engagements aimed at strengthening Ghana–China cooperation in trade, infrastructure, and digital development.
