Nana Owusu Sechere, the agent of Ghanaian winger Christian Atsu, has offered a thorough description of Atsu’s movements prior to one of two earthquakes that struck Turkey and Syria on February 6 damaging his residence.
Over 2,000 people have died and over 10,000 have been injured as a result of the earthquakes; Atsu’s whereabouts are still unknown, despite reports that he was supposedly trapped under the wreckage.
“I spoke with him last on Sunday night around midnight. At a friend’s flat, Christian and his teammates were playing poker till 3:30 in the morning. He took about 30 minutes to get back to his apartment. He came back home before the disaster occurred. The rescue teams are doing all they could to find him.
The earthquake struck Christian’s residence 20 minutes after he arrived home, according to Christian Atsu’s agent.
