The leading organizer for the upcoming organizer of the “Ku me Preko” demonstration Lawyer Martin Kpebu does not expect Vice President Dr. Mahamadu Bawumia is fit to replace President Akufo-Addo.
According to him Vice President Bawumia should be part of the package President Akufo-Addo carries with him if he resigns from the high office of the land.
The resignation of President Nana Akufo-Addo is the main demand of the “Ku me Preko” demonstration that would come off on Saturday 5 November 2022.
Lead Organizer of the demonstration Martin Kpebu said they would put pressure on Parliament to impeach the President if he ignores their initial demand to resign.
He told Sena Nombo on the Gold Morning Conversation that they are making the demand because President Akufo-Addo is failing to provide the leadership needed to deal with the cost of living crisis confronting the country.
Lawyer Kpebu said President Akufo-Addo has failed to apologize for the crisis and failed to take responsibility even though the crisis was caused by the unbridled borrowing of his government.
He complained of what he said was the intransigence of the President.
However, Lawyer Martin Kpebu says Dr. Mahamadu Bawumia who he described as a “phantom economic whiz kid” must not be allowed to replace President Akufo-Addo if the latter was either removed or impeached.
He said Dr. Bawumia must be swiftly impeached if he attempts to take over right after President Akufo-Addo leaves office.
