John Mahama, the NDC’s 2024 presidential hopeful, is sounding the alarm. He says Ghana’s top job isn’t for jokers. With Ghanaians facing tough times, he thinks the upcoming election is too important for silly games.
Mahama’s not happy with how some folks are treating the race for president. He pointed out how someone handed over a made-up cow as a joke. He says that’s not okay when people are struggling.
The former president took a swing at Dr. Bawumia, the current VP. Mahama says Bawumia can’t just take credit for the good stuff and dodge blame for the bad. That’s not fair play in Mahama’s book.
According to Mahama, old tricks and empty promises won’t cut it anymore. He believes Ghanaians are too smart to fall for that now. They want real solutions, not more of the same old song and dance.
“Ghanaians are having a rough time,” Mahama said. “We don’t need a comedy show right now. This isn’t about passing fake cows around. We’re past the point of tall tales and magic tricks.”
He added, “It’s crazy that some people say they’re behind all the good things this government’s done, but then claim they’re not responsible for any of the bad stuff. That doesn’t make sense. You can’t be the ‘driver’s helper’ and avoid all the blame.”
Mahama wrapped up by saying, “We can’t hand over the country’s future to people who’ve messed up our present. That’s just not smart.”
