“We are suffering. We need NDC to come and save us”
That was the cry that greeted National Democratic Congress’ running mate Prof. Naana Jane Opoku Agyeman when she engaged market women at Anomabo and street vendors at Apam Junction in the Central Region.
The cries of the traders is in sharp contrast with the claim by the Northern Regional Minister, Shani Alhassan Saibu that the perception of hardship in the country was not true.
He claimed the country has been in a good state under the leadership of President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo who the Northern regional minister says was working hard to increase productivity and improve livelihoods.
However, traders in Apam and Anomabo say the current state of the country miserable with accompanying unbearable hardship.
According to them they were longing for the return of the National Democratic Congress to power.
“We miss the NDC,” the traders cried out.
Addressing the traders at separate engagements, Professor Naana Jane Opoku Agyeman urged them to vote for the NDC in the upcoming elections.
She cautioned them not to sell their votes for money from the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP).
