John Abdulai Jinapor is the Member of Parliament, representing the good people of Yapei-Kusawgu in the Savannah region of Ghana.
He come to the portfolio with years of rich experience and knowledge of the energy sector
He holds a BSc in Agricultural Technology from the University of Development Studies (UDS), an MA degree in Business Administration, a Masters of Science (MSc) degree in Development Finance, and M.A in economy Policy Management, all from the University of Ghana
He also has a Master of Science (MSc) degree in Energy Economics from the Ghana Institute of Management and Public Administration (GIMPA), a postgraduate degree in finance and financial Law from the University of London, and a diploma in Marketing from the Chartered Institute of Marketing (UK).
He is currently completing his Ph.D in Development Finance at the University of Stellenbosch, South Africa
Before now, he served as Deputy Minister for Energy and Petroleum, Deputy Minister for Power, Ranking member of the Energy and Mines Committee in the 8th Parliament, Chairperson of the Energy Committee of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) and more recently, co-chair of the sub-committee on Energy and Natural Resources in the Presidential Transition Team
