As part of efforts to bring its services closer to the public, the Driver and Vehicle Licensing Authority(DVLA), has launched the Lorry Terminal project.
The project is to afford everyone who qualifies to drive an opportunity to undertake the process of acquiring the requisite certification to enable them drive.
Speaking at the launch at the Circle – Kaneshie trotro station on Tuesday, the Chief Executive Officer of DVLA, Julius Neequaye Kotey, announced that services the new Lorry Terminal Project will provide include, acquisition of new licenses, replacement of missing and expired licenses, conversion of foreign licences, issuance of internationation drivers permit, upgrade of licences, among others.
”It is my hope and believe that this initiative would be accepted, adopted, and given the needed patronage by our cherished drivers. This project is tailored for you, even though it remains opened to the general public”, he said.
According to Mr. Neequaye Kotey, the services will be deployed across all major terminals that have so far given approval for its implementation at least once on a monthly on a particular day. DVLA mobile service team would be available at a designated terminal to deliver service.

Greater Accra Region
-Achimota Lorry Terminal – Every 4th Thursday of the month
– Amasaman Lorry Terminal – Every 3rd Thursday of the month
– Kaneshie Lorry Terminal – Every 1st Thursday of the month
– Kasoa Lorry Terminal – Every 1st Wednesday of the month
– Lapaz – Lorry Terminal – Every 4th Tuesday of the month
– 37 Lorry Terminal – Every 4th Wednesday of the month
– Madina Lorry Terminal – Every 3rd Wednesday of the month
– Nungua Lorry Termial – Every 4th Wednesday of the month
– Ashiaman Lorry Terminal – Every 2nd Thursday of the month
Outside Greater Accra
– Mampong Main Taxi Station – Every Thursday
– Bolgatanga Main Station – Every 1st Wednesday of the month
– Akim Oda Kumasi Station – Every 2nd Thursday of the month
– Sunyani Lorry Terminal – Every last Wednesday of the month
– Agogo Lorry Terminal – Every 3rd Tuesday of the month
– Berekum Lorry Station – Every 1st Thursday of the month
