Strategic Communications Africa Ltd. (Stratcomm Africa) has officially announced the return of the Ghana Garden and Flower Show (GGFS) for its 13th edition. The event, which is under the theme “Urban Places, Green Spaces,” is expected to take place from Saturday, September 20, to Sunday, September 28, 2025, at the Efua Sutherland Children’s Park in Accra.

This year’s theme resonates a direct response to the increasing pressure of climate change on urban environments. According to a press statement issued by Starcomm, the show will emphasize the critical role of green infrastructure in creating healthier, more resilient cities. This vision, it stated was inspired by insights from  Charles Abani, United Nations Resident Coordinator in Ghana, who, at GGFS 2024, underscored the importance of integrating sustainability into urban planning.

The nine-day event will serve as a dynamic platform for a diverse audience, including local and international exhibitors, industry leaders, real estate developers, entrepreneurs, and policymakers, promising an immersive experience that blends innovation, education, and inspiration, featuring cutting-edge green technologies, creative landscaping, and sustainable urban solutions and aims to showcase how greening Ghana’s cities can be a catalyst for both environmental and economic transformation.

Among the exciting activities planned for GGFS 2025 are daily exhibitions showcasing floriculture, horticulture, and eco-friendly innovations. The Green to Riches Conference which is to explore green entrepreneurship and policy, with a special focus on youth engagement, while masterclasses and demonstrations will offer practical learning and skill-building opportunities.

A programme designed and titled the “Little Green Fingers” will engage children with fun and educational activities, and the show will also feature evening events, including Music Night, Drama Night, and the highly anticipated Fashion in Bloom Show.

Esther A. N. Cobbah, CEO of Stratcomm Africa and Convener of the GGFM, spoke about the event’s importance. “In the face of global climate challenges, the transformation of our urban environment is not optional, it is an urgent necessity,” she stated. “This show is more than just an event; it remains a Movement that recognizes green spaces as essential to how we live, work, and thrive. We must be intentional about reclaiming our cities for both people and plants.”

She extended an invitation to individuals, organizations, and businesses to participate as exhibitors, sponsors, or visitors. “Let us work together to turn our cities into thriving centers of health, innovation, beauty, and shared prosperity,” she urged.

Stratcomm Africa has called on government agencies, civil society organizations, academic institutions, and the private sector to join their transformative event. GGFS 2025, it asserted promises to be a bold convergence of nature, enterprise, culture, and innovation, all working toward a greener, cleaner, healthier, wealthier, and more resilient Ghana.
