President John Dramani Mahama is in Doha, Qatar, to participate in the 2025 edition of the Doha Forum, following an official invitation from the Emir of Qatar, H.H. Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani.
Mr. Mahama arrived in Doha on Saturday morning and is scheduled to make two high-level interventions during the global dialogue platform.
He will deliver opening remarks on the theme “Education as Justice in Times of Crisis”, addressing the role of equitable learning in global stability.
The former President will later join a distinguished panel to discuss “Economic Empowerment in Africa: Pathway to Inclusive Prosperity.”
In addition to his Forum engagements, President Mahama will hold bilateral talks with the Emir of Qatar, focusing on strengthening cooperation between Qatar and Ghana, as well as exploring partnerships in education, investment, and economic transformation.
President Mahama travelled aboard a Qatar Airways Executive Jet provided by the State of Qatar.
He is expected to depart Doha on Sunday after concluding his official duties.
