Nana Nyeiku VII, the Ekumfi Sumankwaahen and Chief of Ekumfi Srafa has publicly endorsed John Dramani Mahama, the National Democratic Congress (NDC) presidential candidate, ahead of Ghana’s December 7 elections.
The chief praised Mahama’s impressive development track record, expressing confidence in his leadership and citing his accomplishments as the clear reason for his endorsement.
During Mahama’s recent campaign visit to Ekumfi, Nana Nyeiku emphasized the community’s need for development, highlighting specific challenges. He urged Mahama to prioritize Ekumfi’s growth, focusing on road improvements and employment initiatives for local youth.
In response, John Mahama assured the Ekumfi community that the NDC is committed to development. Key initiatives include:
- 24-Hour Economy Policy: creating substantial job opportunities to address youth unemployment
- District Hospital: providing quality healthcare services
- Modern AstroTurf Facilities: Promoting Sports Development
- School Enhancements: Improving Education Infrastructure
- Market Upgrades: supporting local businesses
These projects aim to make life in Ekumfi more prosperous and less challenging. Ekumfi District, located in the Central Region, has a population of 56,741 and covers an area of 276.65 square kilometres
