President John Dramani Mahama has reaffirmed his government’s commitment to ensuring that no part of Ghana is left behind under the Big Push Infrastructure Project, a nationwide programme designed to modernize roads, bridges, hospitals, schools, and critical utilities.
Speaking at a sod-cutting ceremony for one of the flagship projects, President Mahama declared: “Every region of Ghana will benefit from the Big Push Infrastructure Project.
This is not a programme for just one city or one region. It is a national agenda to connect communities, open up new opportunities, and drive inclusive growth.”
The President explained that the initiative is structured to deliver equitable infrastructure development across all 16 regions, with projects carefully selected to address both economic and social needs.
“From the Northern Savannah to the coastal towns, from farming communities to industrial hubs, the Big Push will provide the infrastructure backbone that will power jobs, businesses, and better living conditions for our people,” he added.
President Mahama emphasized that the two-year project rollout is a bold step toward bridging Ghana’s infrastructure gap and will create thousands of direct and indirect jobs. He also assured Ghanaians of transparency and accountability in its execution.
“We will deliver on time, within budget, and with quality, because this is about the future of our nation.”
The Big Push Infrastructure Project is expected to include road networks, educational facilities, health centers, housing, and energy expansion projects, aimed at stimulating growth in both urban and rural areas.
