The Prime Minister of Grenada, Honourable Dickon Amiss Thomas Mitchell, has arrived in Accra for a two-day official visit to the Republic of Ghana.

He was warmly received at the Kotoka International Airport by Ghana’s Minister for Health, Honourable Kwabena Mintah Akandoh, on behalf of President John Dramani Mahama and the Government of Ghana.

Prime Minister Mitchell’s visit is aimed at strengthening bilateral relations between Ghana and Grenada, with a focus on cooperation in health, education, trade, and tourism.

According to officials, the visit will also provide an opportunity for both countries to explore new areas of collaboration within the framework of South-South cooperation and to deepen people-to-people exchanges between Africa and the Caribbean.

During his stay, Prime Minister Mitchell is expected to hold bilateral talks with President John Dramani Mahama at the Jubilee House, participate in a joint press briefing, and visit selected development projects and institutions of mutual interest.

“Ghana and Grenada share historical and cultural ties that date back centuries.
This visit reaffirms our shared vision to strengthen cooperation across key sectors that advance the well-being of our peoples,” an official statement from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Regional Integration noted.

Prime Minister Mitchell is accompanied by his Chief of Staff and key government ministers, including the Minister for Foreign Affairs, Trade, and Export Development.
