The Luckiest has launched an ambitious 2026 campaign featuring enhanced rewards, a digital-first participation model and a renewed focus on community development, including plans to inaugurate a major learning and empowerment centre in the Savannah Region later this year.
Speaking at the launch, Managing Director Denies Adutwum said the 2026 season would mark a significant departure from previous editions by reducing reliance on physical activations and creating a broader technology-driven experience designed to reach more people across the country.

According to him, more than 500,000 participants are expected to receive prizes during the campaign, with rewards ranging from mobile phones, refrigerators and 75-inch television sets to rent-advance cash and other incentives.
“2026 is going to be very different, and that is what I’m going to try to tell everybody about. We’re rewarding over 500,000 people with different prizes,” Mr. Adutwum said.
Under the new format, customers who cumulatively spend GH¢100 will qualify for a guaranteed gift, while rewards will be distributed through a random selection process and made available for immediate redemption.

The initiative also introduces a community-based model that groups participants into 100 communities, including journalists, nurses, tailors, chief executive officers, trotro operators and golfers. Each community will be allocated 1,000 tickets with a total value of GH¢5,000.
A key innovation is the shared-ticket system, which allows multiple individuals to contribute towards a single ticket. If the ticket wins, all contributors benefit from the prize.
To promote responsible participation, Mr. Adutwum disclosed that customer service representatives would contact individuals attempting to purchase an entire GH¢5,000 ticket at once to discourage excessive spending.
The flagship draw is scheduled for December 19, 2026, the last Saturday before Christmas. Four community-wide multipliers—x10, x7, x5 and x3—will be selected randomly to boost winnings for participating groups.

In addition, three bonus tickets will receive payouts worth 100 times the value of contributors’ stakes, while one grand “Luckiest Ticket Win” will attract a 1,000-times multiplier, doubling last year’s top multiplier of 500 times.
“If you bought even one cedi on the Luckiest Ticket, you get 1,000 cedis when it wins,” the Managing Director noted.
Participants can access the platform through the *712# USSD code or online, where they can select random or preferred ticket numbers and complete payments using mobile money services across major telecommunications networks.
Labanga Learning Centre to Expand Educational Opportunities
Speaking on the company’s corporate social responsibility agenda, Angel Banford, Corporate Affairs Director of The Luckiest, announced plans to commission the Labanga Community Learning and Empowerment Centre in the Savannah Region in early December.

She explained that the project forms part of a broader vision to create sustainable opportunities for communities through investments in education, digital inclusion, vocational training, emergency support services and youth empowerment initiatives.
According to Ms. Banford, the facility is located in Labanga, between Tamale and Damongo, and has been designed to provide long-term educational and technological support to residents, particularly students and young people.
The centre will feature solar-powered electricity, internet connectivity, computer workstations, running water and a dedicated prayer room in recognition of the predominantly Muslim population in the area.
Ms. Banford said the organisation’s goal is to move beyond one-off charitable donations and invest in projects that create lasting impact for communities.

She noted that the centre would enable students to study after dark, access online learning resources and develop digital skills that can improve educational outcomes and future employment opportunities.
“The impact of a single centre can extend to thousands of students, while education and skills training can create future graduates, employers and mentors who will contribute to the development of their communities,” she indicated.
The Corporate Affairs Director added that the official launch will bring together beneficiaries from various sectors and feature documentary-style presentations highlighting stories of transformation and community impact.
She further encouraged stakeholders, development partners and media organisations to join the conversation through the hashtag #TheRootToLabanga, while helping to ensure transparency and accountability in the implementation of the project.
With enhanced rewards, innovative participation options and a growing investment in social development, The Luckiest says its 2026 campaign is designed not only to create winners but also to support community transformation and expand opportunities for people across Ghana
