The National Democratic Congress’ Parliamentary candidate for Essikado-Ketan Dr. Grace Ayensu Danquah in the Western region says the New Patriotic Party cannot avoid defeat on December 7 no matter the tactics they resort.
She said this in an interview with Sena Nombo on the Gold Power Drive, in reaction to the shooting incident at Kasoa in Awutu Senya East Constituency.
The NPP MP for Awutu Senya East and minister for Special Development Initiatives Hawa Koomson has claimed responsibility for the shooting incident a registration center in Kasoa.
The dastardly act comes in the wake of the murder of a newly trained teacher in the Banda constituency by persons alleged to be affiliated to the NPP and its Parliamentary candidate in Banda.

Grace Ayensu Danquah expressed worry with the developments and wondered why the governing party was bent on introducing violence into the ongoing voter’s registration exercise.
She said the NPP is doing everything possible to gain an unfair advantage ahead of the 2020 elections and wondered what was informing the desperation of the NPP.
Dr. Ayensu-Danquah said her constituency was not spared the machinations as the NPP has been busing people from Nsawam to register in the constituency.
The NDC Essikado-Ketan candidate is however convinced that these machinations would not change the NPP’s ill fate in the December 7 elections.
She retorted “no gun or macho man would protect you from the ballot.”
Dr. Ayensu-Danquah stated that the final word as to who leads a constituency and the nation lied with the people and that right can only be exercised in the ballot box on election.
