Former Finance minister Seth Terkper has cautioned the Nana Akufo-Addo led administration against tax increases.
According to him such a move will be punitive.
The Finance minister Ken Ofori Attah is set to present the 2020 Mid-year budget review to parliament tomorrow.
The review is expected to address the revenue shortfalls brought on by COVID-19 as well as prescribe policies aimed at assisting businesses to survive the post-COVID economy.

Seth Terkper however says his successor cannot afford to impose further tax increases.
He believes businesses are still reeling from adverse tax measures rolled out from 2018 to 2019.
“The VAT multiple tax from blocking NHIL/GETFund credits is hurting business,” he tweeted.
