The Ledzokuku Constituency Chairman of the National Democratic Congress Joseph Mensah has accused the military Captain who led the invasion of the office of the party’s parliamentary candidate of “lying” against him.
The Greater Accra Regional police detained the NDC Constituency Chairman and his Organizer for close to 24 hours after the invasion.

The NDC Constituency Chairman told Sena Nombo on the Gold Power Drive the action of the police were informed by a statement given by the military captain who has been identified as Dominic Nakpaja.
Joseph Mensah said the army captain in his written statement alleged that he (Chairman) and the Organizer were busily conducting voter registration when the military officers invaded the office of the NDC PC.
He said the military Captain claimed they were conducting the registration using the Desktop Computer used by the mart attached to the fuel station, which housed the office of the NDC Ledzokuku PC.
He said checks on the said PC showed it only contained prices of products sold in the mart.
Joseph Mensah said he is barely computer literate with typing skills that does not even qualify as basic.
The NDC Ledzokuku Chairman said the claim of the army captain is baseless.
He accused the NPP MP for Ledzokuku of being behind the invasion targeted at intimidating the NDC.
Joseph Mensah said the NDC was fully prepared to counter such acts.
