General Secretary of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) Johnson Asiedu Nketia has rejected the challenge thrown by the Defence minister Dominic Nitiwul.

In response to allegations of military intimidations during the voter registration in Banda and other areas, Dominic Nitiwul challenged the NDC and victims of the act to provide evidence to back their claim despite the preponderance of videos of such acts.
Johnson Asiedu Nketia however says the Defence minister has no authority over security arrangements for election related activities hence is not in the position to deal with the situation.
He told Sena Nombo on the Gold Power Drive security arrangements for the voter registration exercises are made by District/Municipal/Metropolitan and Regional Security Committees.
Johnson Asiedu Nketia said the Defence minister is appropriating actions he had no hand in because he has been pushed to say something.
The NDC General Secretary said he had evidence of the misdeeds and high handedness of the military in the form of videos taken with his phone.
He said he had those videos but would not waste his time submitting them Dominic Nitiwul.
