The Eezzy Group Foundation has donated a brand-new pickup truck, a modern farming tractor and 20 motorcycles to support this year’s 42nd National Farmers Day celebration, reinforcing efforts to honour Ghana’s outstanding farmers and promote agricultural transformation.

Announcing the donation, Minister for Food and Agriculture, Eric Opoku, described the contribution as a significant demonstration of corporate support for the country’s agricultural sector and the hardworking farmers who continue to drive national food production.
According to the Minister, the pickup truck will be presented to the Overall National Best Farmer, while the 20 motorcycles will be awarded across various competitive categories to recognise excellence and outstanding performance within the sector.

He added that the modern farming tractor will provide mechanisation support to deserving farmers, helping improve productivity and strengthen Ghana’s drive towards modern, efficient agriculture.
Mr. Opoku said the contributions will enhance this year’s National Farmers Day celebrations by ensuring that farmers receive the recognition and practical support they deserve for their contribution to national development.

He commended the Eezzy Group Foundation for partnering with government to reward excellence in agriculture, noting that such collaborations are critical to advancing the country’s agricultural transformation agenda.
The Minister stressed that recognising farmers goes beyond presenting awards, saying investments in equipment and mechanisation empower beneficiaries to increase production, improve efficiency and contribute more meaningfully to Ghana’s food security and economic growth.

The 42nd National Farmers Day celebration is expected to honour farmers, fishers and other agricultural stakeholders whose dedication continues to sustain the country’s agricultural sector and rural economy.
