The final poll conducted by Global InfoAnalytics for the December 2024 elections indicates that the presidential candidate of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) John Dramani Mahama (JDM), is highly favoured to win the upcoming elections.

According to the poll, Mahama leads with 51.9% support, while the ruling party’s candidate, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia (DMB), trails with 40.5%. Alan Kwadwo Kyerematen (AKK) holds 2.1%, Nana Kwame Bediako (NKB) has 4.7%, and other candidates collectively garner 0.7%.

The poll reveals that while the race has tightened in the swing regions of Greater Accra, Central, and Western, the Akan and Northern regions appear to be deteriorating for the ruling party less than three weeks before Ghanaians head to the polls.

The poll was conducted between 11th and 16th November.

In the swing regions, Mahama leads with 51.1%, followed by Bawumia at 39.5%, Kyerematen at 2.0%, Bediako at 7.0%, and others at 0.4%. In the Akan regions, Bawumia leads with 46.6%, Mahama follows with 44.5%, Kyerematen at 2.6%, Bediako at 5.6%, and others at 0.9%.

In the Northern regions, Mahama leads with 64.7%, Bawumia at 33.9%, Kyerematen at 0.7%, and Bediako at 0.7%. In the Volta and Oti regions, Mahama leads with 72.7%, Bawumia at 19.7%, Kyerematen at 2.2%, Bediako at 3.3%, and others at 2.2%.

The six-week polling average shows Mahama leading in 13 regions, while Bawumia leads in three regions. The poll also indicates that Mahama is leading in the Ahafo and Bono regions, traditional strongholds of the ruling party in past elections.
