Leader and flagbearer of the National Democratic Congress, John Dramani Mahama, says if the Agyapadie document is even fabricated, its implementation can’t be said to be fabricated
The former President of the Republic of Ghana made this statement during his inaugural campaign in the Upper East region when he paid a courtesy call on the overlord of Bawku, Bawku Naba, in his palace.
Addressing the chiefs and Queen mother of the Bawku Traditional Area, the Flagbearer indicated that there is a constitutional provision for an election every year, and he is optimistic Ghanaians will vote for a change in the upcoming Presidential election Parliamentary elections
Speaking on issues of state capture and the current government’s insatiable taste for state lands, the Flagbearer cited the controversial Agyapadie document, which recently the Okyehene, Osagyefo Amoatia Ofori II and the President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo Addo all have indicated that it’s a fake document
However, John Dramani Mahama said, “Even if the Agyapadie document is fabricated, its implementation is not fabricated
Meanwhile, the Flagbearer of the National Democratic Congress said he would investigate and prosecute any government official who is found culpable of acquiring state properties illegally
Giving a series of reasons why Ghanaians will vote for a change, John Dramani Mahama stressed that the current state of the economy, mismanagement and hardship in the economy will be one of the factors that will propel Ghanaians to vote for a Change
Ghanaians will vote for a change because they want a leader who will be accountable to the people of Ghana and be transparent in all sectors of the economy
