President John Dramani Mahama is urging Ghanaians to extend compassion and support to the most vulnerable members of society as the Muslim community celebrates Eid-ul-Fitr.
Speaking at the Eid-ul-Fitr celebration in Accra, President Mahama emphasized the importance of fostering unity and empathy, particularly towards those struggling to make ends meet.
He encouraged Muslims and all Ghanaians to remember those struggling with poverty, illness, and other hardships, and to share their blessings with those in need.
President Mahama also called upon religious and community leaders to set a sterling example in cultivating a culture of care and social responsibility.
This isn’t the first time President Mahama has shown his commitment to the Muslim community. In 2024, he promised to establish a two-day Eid-ul Fitr holiday if elected president, aiming to promote a more inclusive and respectful atmosphere for all Ghanaians, regardless of their heritage or religion.
