Ghana Tourism Authority Honoured At 2025 Ghana Celebrity Impact Awards

The 2025 Ghana Celebrity Impact Awards held on Saturday, 7th June, 2025, recognized the immense contribution of the Ghana Tourism Authority (GTA) to the development and promotion of Ghana’s tourism and hospitality industry. The Authority proudly received the award for “Impact in Hospitality and Tourism”, a testament to its outstanding efforts in positioning Ghana as a preferred destination.

In addition to the institutional win, the CEO of GTA, Maame Efua Houadjeto, was celebrated with the prestigious award for “Impact in Hospitality”. Her dedication and visionary leadership was heavily rewarded and acknowledged accordingly.

Speaking on her behalf, Mr. Ben Anane Nsiah, Deputy CEO in charge of General Services, expressed appreciation to the organizers and the GTA team. He praised the CEO, Maame Efua Houadjeto’s exceptional leadership and the collaborative spirit of the Authority’s staff, highlighting their shared commitment to excellence.

Mr. Nsiah noted, “We are honored to receive this recognition. It reflects the hard work of the entire GTA team. This year, we look forward to hosting over 2 million tourists and we continue to urge Ghanaians to fall in love with tourism because loving Ghana means exploring Ghana.”

The ceremony was attended by a delegation from the Ghana Tourism Authority whose presence gave a remarkable impression and reinforced the Authority’s commitment to industry excellence. The representatives included:

The team’s enthusiasm and pride in promoting Ghana as a premier tourism destination was evident throughout the event.

The awards serves as a catalyst of encouragement for GTA to continue its mission of developing sustainable tourism and showcasing the beauty, culture, and heritage of Ghana to the rest of the world. With milestones ahead and ambitious targets set for 2025, the Authority remains focused on impactful tourism development.

Ghana Celebrity Inpact Awards aims at recognising and honouring individuals, corporate entities, brands and celebrities who use their prominence and resources to make significant impact on societal issues, fostering a culture of responsibility and community engagement among the influential.
