Flagbearer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), John Dramani Mahama has reassured the Youth of the country that the 24 hour economy policy is to address the Unemployment situation in the country
The former President John Dramani Mahama who is seeking a comeback is on a two day campaign tour in Savannah region
“We will have to amend the labour law to allow businesse run eight hours in three shifts under the 24 hour economy policy, he added.
He also indicated that there will be the need to also amend custom and tax laws to give incentives to businesses that will run the 24 hour economy policy

Speaking at a community Engagement in Bunjil in the Salaga North Constituency in the Savannah region the Flagbearer further indicated that for the policy to run successfully and to achieve it intended purpose security, energy and road infrastructure will be improved
The current unemployment rate in the country is alarming and we must take pragmatic measures such as the 24 hour economy policy to addressing such challenges
