The Gyasehene of Mpohor Manso in the western Region Nana Tutu Abban II believes the NDC flagbearer, John Dramani Mahama is the person to lead Ghana out of its current difficulties.
Mpohor Manso Gyasehene made this comments during the visit to his community by Professor Jane Naana Opoku-Agyemang Running Mate to John Mahama as part of her three-day campaign tour of western Region.
Addressing supporters and community members, Nana Tutu Abban praised John Mahama’s development-oriented leadership style, urging Ghanaians to give him another opportunity to lead the nation in the upcoming December 7 general elections.
“John Dramani Mahama has a track record of being a development-oriented person. It is imperative that we give him the chance to lead Ghana again,” he stated
The Gyasehene expressed concern over the deficit in infrastructure and public services in Manso and the seeming neglect of the Mpohor traditional area.
“The Manso community is in dire need of good roads, a nursing school, and other essential development projects. We remember the initiatives Mr. Mahama started here before leaving office in 2016, and we believe he is the right person to bring us development,” he said.
Nana Tutu Abban also prayed for the NDC’s victory in the forthcoming elections because he believes Mpohor Manso needed a government that can fulfill the development needs of the community and its surroundings.
In response, Professor Opoku-Agyemang echoed the sentiments of the Gyasehene, stating, “Ghana needs a reset.”
This she said was necessary because the country was heading in the wrong direction under the current administration.
The NDC Running Mate urged electorates to vote decisively for John Mahama.
“Let us build together the Ghana we want; let’s ensure that John Dramani Mahama has the support he needs to reset our nation.”
