The Young Progressive Network’s Sanitation Brigade for Development, in collaboration with the Assembly member for Oblogo electoral area, has organized a clean-up exercise to desilt choked drains and prevent flooding in the area.
This is exercise according to Patrick Asford Boadu, Convener of Sanitation Brigade for Development a subsidiary of Young Progressive Network is in readiness to support the National Sanitation Day program which will be launched on May 3, 2025

- Activity: Desilting choked drains to prevent flooding during the rainy season.
- Long-term plan: Bi-weekly clean-up exercises to maintain cleanliness and prevent stagnant water from breeding mosquitoes.
- Call to action: Residents are urged to participate in clean-up exercises and avoid littering, while authorities are encouraged to provide litter bins at vantage points.
- Prosecution warning: Residents are cautioned against throwing waste materials into gutters, with potential prosecution under local government bye-laws.
