President John Dramani Mahama has dismissed widespread speculations suggesting that he has already appointed Ministers for Defence and Environment.
Speaking during a courtesy call on him by the Ghana Muslims Mission at the Presidency today, President Mahama urged the public to disregard such rumours, insisting that he is “not in a rush” to make those appointments.
“Ignore the speculations that I have appointed Ministers for Defence and Environment. I am not in any rush to make those appointments,” President Mahama stated.
He further encouraged the public to remain calm and enjoy the festive season while assuring that the outstanding ministerial appointments will be made early next year.
“Go and enjoy your Christmas. Those appointments will be done next year,” he added.
The meeting with the Ghana Muslims Mission forms part of the President’s ongoing engagement with key religious and community groups as the festive season approaches.
