John Dramani Mahama, the leader of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), has promised to take back all state lands that have been sold by the current government if he becomes President. He claims that the Nana Addo Dankwa Akufu Addo administration is selling off these lands to themselves.
In a message on X, the former President wrote, “If I’m elected, my government will focus on looking into and taking back these lands.”
At the same time, the NDC Member of Parliament for North Tongu, Okudzeto Ablakwa, has been questioning SSNIT’s choice to sell four of its hotels to Rock City Hotel. He believes this is part of the current government’s plan to take over state assets and says it won’t be allowed.
Ablakwa has already held a protest about this issue, which he plans to repeat in the Central Region and other parts of the country.
