John Dramani Mahama, the National Democratic Congress (NDC) flagbearer, has launched his three-day campaign tour in the Bono Region, starting today, September 8, 2024. This follows his recent four-day campaign tour in the Bono East region, where he engaged with various stakeholders.
During his first day in Bono Region, Mahama will visit four constituencies: Wenchi, Tain, Sunyani East, and Sunyani West, with two activities scheduled in each constituency.
Mahama’s campaign focuses on resetting Ghana’s economy, addressing unemployment, and promoting vocational skills training. His key promises include:
- Introducing a 24-hour economy policy
- Implementing a national apprenticeship program
- Boosting infrastructure development through the “Big Push” policy
- Providing stress-free tuition for level 100 students in tertiary institutions
- Offering free sanitary pads for girls in basic and secondary schools
- Improving the free SHS program and abolishing the double track system
- Fighting corruption through “Operation Recover All Loots”
Mahama’s campaign aims to address the economic mismanagement under the current administration and promote a new era of development and progress in Ghana.
