Member of Parliament for Tamale Central Alhaji Inusah Fuseini says the minority walked out of the approval process of the Agyapa Royalties arrangement because it was steeped in illegality.
He told Sena Nombo on the Gold Power Drive as at the time the arrangement was being approved, there was no law backing the arrangement.

First Deputy Speaker Joe Osei Owusu in an interview claims he did not understand the basis for the minority’s objections to the arrangement.
Joe Osei Owusu who oversaw the parliamentary proceedings on the day when the arrangement was approved, said the minority’s objection was baseless.

Alhaji Inusah Fuseini who is the Ranking Member of Parliament’s select Committee on Legal, Constitutional and Parliamentary Affairs says the law that was intended to authorize the arrangement was not operational as at the time parliament considered the matter.
Alhaji Inusah Fuseini said this was because President Akufo-Addo had not assented to the law hence the law was non-existent.
He said Parliament therefore did not have the authority to act based on a law that did not exist.
The Tamale Central MP said the minority under the circumstances could not have been part of the arrangement. Story: Sena Nombo/Radiogoldlive.com
