Fraud Prevention Expert and Security Consultant Richard Kumadoe has underscored the importance of upholding law and order and respecting the rule of law, describing them as fundamental pillars of democratic governance.
In a statement, Mr. Kumadoe said law enforcement agencies, the judiciary, and legal practitioners play indispensable roles in protecting the rights and freedoms of citizens while ensuring that crime prevention, investigation, prosecution, and the detention of suspects are carried out strictly within the confines of the law.
He stressed that the work of law enforcement agencies should be supported to enable them to discharge their statutory responsibilities without undue interference, while the judiciary must be allowed to independently address any legal violations brought before it.
According to him, the proper functioning of these institutions is essential to maintaining public confidence in the justice system and preserving constitutional order.
Mr. Kumadoe further cautioned that the persistent and unjustifiable obstruction of law enforcement officers in the performance of their lawful duties could have far-reaching consequences for national stability.
He warned that such actions could create conditions that foster chaos, disorder, and anarchy, ultimately undermining the country’s democratic institutions and the rule of law.
The security consultant called on citizens and all stakeholders to respect legal processes and support state institutions in carrying out their constitutional mandates to ensure peace, security, and justice prevail.
