President John Dramani Mahama has defended the capabilities of the individuals he has appointed to serve in his administration, stating that they are young, talented, and determined to guide Ghana through its current economic crisis.
According to the President, his team is fully committed to tackling the economic challenges head-on and working towards the country’s transformation.
Speaking during a visit to the Gbewaa Palace in Yendi, President Mahama assured the Overlord of Dagbon, Ndan Yaa-Naa Abubakari Mahama II, of his unwavering commitment to Ghana’s development.
He acknowledged the difficulties the nation is currently facing but expressed confidence in his administration’s ability to address these issues with competence and dedication.
In his remarks, President Mahama acknowledged that while political campaigns and winning elections are significant, they are the easier part of leadership.
The real test, he stated, lies in delivering on the promises made to the people and addressing the pressing economic hardships that have burdened citizens across the country.
“Campaigns and elections are easy, the more difficult part is how to meet the challenge that is facing us especially now that our country is in a deep economic crisis”.
How we work to meet the expectations of the Ghanaian people and eliminate the hardship that they are facing is the task that we are currently confronted with.
“The task is a difficult one but we have assembled a team of young and talented members of my administration who are capable of helping me to steer the affairs of this country to enormous success.”
