Hon. Emmanuel Nii Ashie Moore, Greater Accra Regional Chairman of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), has promised his region that new Metropolitan, Municipal and District Chief Executives (MMDCEs) will be ready and appointments made within the next two weeks to lead the various Assemblies in the region
The former Member of Parliament for the Adantan Constituency and now Greater Accra Regional Chairman Ashie Moore disclosed that President John Dramani Mahama is committed and ready to replace all MMDCEs whose appointments were revoked recently.
The decision to appoint new MMDCEs comes after the Presidency issued a statement signed by the Secretary to the President, Dr. Callistus Mahama terminating the appointments as part of a broader restructuring effort to enhance local governance
Hon. Emmanuel Nii Ashie Moore assured party members and supporters especially those in the Greater Accra Region that the selection process is being carefully handled to ensure the appointment of Capacity, affable and competent individuals
He also urged members and supporters of the party to be calm, Patience and cooperative as the process unfolds
“Per our party machinery, this week we are conducting a screening and vetting of nominations for prospective candidates to occupy the vacant positions’ he added.
In an exclusive interview with Radio Gold Hon. Emmanuel Nii Ashie Moore further assured party members especially those in the Greater Accra region that if all things go well by the close of the next fourteen (14) days we will have MMDCEs in their respective Metropolitan, Municipal and District Assembly offices he noted
