Ghanaian dancehall musician Charles Nii Armah Mensah, known in showbiz as Shatta Wale, has warned the Economic and Organised Crime Office (EOCO) and its Acting Executive Director, Raymond Archer, following what he described as an “unprovoked armed raid” on his residence.
In a TikTok live on August 5, 2025, the artiste expressed outrage over the incident and cautioned EOCO against making any further attempts to contact or invite him concerning an ongoing investigation.
“Raymond Archer, I will leave the car for you people. Don’t come to my house. Don’t let anybody invite me. That’s why I have bought a new Lamborghini,” he fumed.
“After this matter, Raymond Archer, don’t even try to invite me else it will be worse in this country.”
Shatta Wale accused the EOCO boss of using his position to harass citizens and warned that such actions could have political consequences for the ruling National Democratic Congress (NDC).
The musician, who admitted that the car at the centre of EOCO’s interest was bought for $150,000, insisted he did not know its alleged links to financial crimes.
He made it clear he wanted no further contact with EOCO.
Shatta Wale further lamented the treatment he has received despite his contributions to the Ghanaian music industry, adding that the ongoing situation could push him into politics.
“My music, the way I have suffered, and how they are treating me in this country, one day I will wake up and become president.”
The warning comes in the wake of EOCO’s confirmation that a Lamborghini Urus was seized from his home as part of a joint investigation with US authorities.
However, Shatta Wale insists he is being unfairly targeted and has vowed not to cooperate further with the agency.
