The Ghana Airport Company Limited has shut down the operations of McDan’s private jet terminal at the Kotoka International Airport.
According to a statement from the Airport Company Limited, the organization failed to comply with directives communicated to them ahead of the commissioning of their ultramodern facility.
“We note with concern your failure to comply with the directive despite the outstanding issues on the prior terms and conditions for the use and operations of Terminal 1 as a Private Jet Terminal,” a statement from the Management of Airport Company Limited said.
Adding that “Management has consequently directed the suspension of your use of Terminal 1 until further notice”, a letter from the GACL to McDan Aviation ordered”.
Reports in the local media indicate that armed security men were said to have stormed the facility at Terminal One to shut it down Monday night.
Meanwhile, the Workers Union at the Airport has thrown their weight behind management to ensure that the right protocols are followed and things are done right.
