A fire broke out at The Honeysuckle Pub and Restaurant in Labone, Accra, on Saturday, October 26, around 5 p.m., partially damaging the well-known venue. Thanks to a swift response from the Ghana National Fire Service (GNFS), the blaze was contained to the restaurant’s kitchen, preventing more extensive damage.
Firefighters arrived quickly and successfully managed to control the flames, curtailing any further spread. Officials from the Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG) were also on-site, ensuring safety by disconnecting power to reduce risks of reignition.
Assistant Division Officer Alex King Nartey later shared an update on the GNFS’s official Facebook page, commending the joint efforts of GNFS and ECG teams in securing the premises and safeguarding the surrounding area.
