President John Dramani Mahama arrived in Abuja this evening to participate in the 67th Ordinary Session of the ECOWAS Authority of Heads of State and Government.
The summit, bringing together West African leaders, will focus on critical regional issues including security, economic integration, democratic governance, and responses to emerging threats within the sub-region.
President Mahama is expected to join his counterparts in deliberations aimed at strengthening cooperation among member states and advancing the objectives of the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS).
This session is especially significant given ongoing regional efforts to address unconstitutional changes of government, terrorism, and economic challenges facing member countries.
President Mahama was warmly received at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport by officials of the Nigerian government and Ghana’s High Commission in Abuja.
