John Mahama’s running mate, Professor Naana Jane Opoku Agyemang has returned to the Central Region for the second phase of her campaign tour.
The visit follows her introduction by the National Democratic Congress (NDC) flagbearer, John Mahama, to the Central Regional House of Chiefs last week.
Soon after her introduction, the NDC running mate embarked on a house-to-house campaign, engaging with a variety of groups, including artisanal fishermen and market women.
During the first leg of her tour, which ended last week, professor Naana Opoku Agyemang met with several stakeholders, rallying support for John Mahama and all the NDC parliamentary candidates to win the December 7 elections.
Her return is aimed at consolidating support and building upon the momentum generated during her initial visit.
Throughout the second phase, she plans to interact with grassroots supporters and listen to their concerns while sharing the NDC’s vision for Ghana’s development.
The Central Regional House of Chiefs has already endorsed Professor Opoku Agyemang, describing her as a “daughter of the region” and expressing confidence in her potential to drive progress for the country.
on the second leg of her tour, Professor Opoku Agyemang is expected to energize NDC supporters and attract undecided voters.
Her itinerary includes visits to about ten constituencies, starting Monday, August 5.
