Member of Parliament for Tamale North Alhassan S Suhuyini’s third term parliamentary bid received a major boost as he seems to have secured the backing of all 102 Constituency branch women organizers.
This is after all branch women organizers led by the Constituency women organizer and her deputy filed his nominations papers on his behalf.
To secure a third term the Tamale North MP would have first have to be elected as the parliamentary candidate by majority of party delegates at the NDC’s Constituency delegates conference on 13 May 2023.
Alhassan Suhuyini has become one of the most recognizable faces in Parliament with his constant presence in the media and participation in parliamentary debates.
The former broadcaster was first elected into Parliament in 2016 and retained in 2020.
In a Facebook post, the MP thanked the women for their gesture and prayed for Alla’s blessings to “make it easy me to live up to your expectations.
