The Minister for Water Resources, Works & Housing says government is committed to ensuring that the Tema Development Company LTD continues to play it’s anchoring roles in governments housing and development agenda to support sustainable planning in to country.
According to Gilbert Kenneth Adjei, the state housing development agency plays pivotal role in public land management in addressing the housing deficit in the country.
Speaking at the 5th Annual General Meeting of the Tema Development Company in Tema, Kenneth Gilbert Adjei further said TDC is expected to continue to enhance it’s corporate governance with financial discipline that aligns with national development strategies in housing in Ghana.
Director general of the state interest interests and governance Authority(SIGA),Dr. Kpesah white noted that TDC with the high standard of physical discipline and accountability with prompt dividend payments to shareholders it was incumbent to be listed on the Ghana stock Exchange to attract additional resources for expansion on it’s services.
Managing director of TEMA Development Company LTD,Courage Nunekpeku said apart from redevelopment of some projects in Tema,Ashaiman and it’s related areas,it is embarking on an investment drive especially those in the hospitality industries to the Oxygen city at Ho in the Volta region.
The Tema Development Company limited has about 134 pending legal cases at the end of year ending ending December 2024 in which 26 are classified as high risk,27 as medium risk and 81 as low risk according to independent Auditors,AA & K chattered accountants.
