Vice President Naana Jane Opoku-Agyemang returned home this afternoon from London, United Kingdom, where she had traveled for medical treatment.
She was warmly received at the airport by President John Dramani Mahama, First Lady Mrs. Lordina Dramani Mahama, Chief of Staff Julius Debrah, the Vice President’s Chief of Staff Alex Segbefia, and other senior government officials.
Also present to welcome her were the Presiding Bishop of the Methodist Church and members of her family.
In a brief address, the Vice President expressed her gratitude to Ghanaians for their prayers and well wishes.
She extended her appreciation to her doctors and the medical staff at the University of Ghana Medical Centre (UGMC), and offered special thanks to President Mahama and his younger brother, Ibrahim Mahama, for their unwavering support, thoughtfulness, and care.
