A former Fomena Constituency Chairman of the New Patriotic Party(NPP) Mr. Akwasi Nti is optimistic that the current Member of Parliament(MP) for Assin North James Gyaakye Quayson will not escape jail.

He indicates that when this happens and a by-election is held, members of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) who believe they are men and want to foment trouble should dare and see

“The New Patriotic Party (NPP) will never go to Assin North by-election unprepared because we will never treat NDC members with kid gloves. If they are men let them try any kind of violence and see”, he warned

The Cape Coast High Court in the Central Region declared the 2020 parliamentary election held in the Assin North Constituency as null and void.

The court has therefore ordered for a fresh election to be conducted in the constituency.

The former Fomena NPP Constituency Chairman speaking in an interview with Pure FM’s Osei Kwadwo stated categorically that the National Democratic Congress’ 2020 parliamentary candidate for the constituency, Joe Gyakye Quayson must be prosecuted and jailed for flouting the law.

According to him “NDC is a very smart party for being able to push someone who has dual citizenship to win an election in Ghana”.

“NDC’ 2020 parliamentary candidate for the constituency, Joe Gyakye Quayson will be jailed and if NDC members think they have the men they should meet NPP men during the by-election,” Mr Akwasi Nti said.

“Joseph Yammin and other NDC men will run if they come to Assin North by-election with violence because NPP will never treat them with soft gloves”
