John Dramani Mahama, the Flagbearer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), has cautioned Ghanaians that voting for the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the upcoming elections would mean another four years of President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo’s leadership.
Mahama criticized the current administration, led by Akufo-Addo and Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, for borrowing more than any previous government in Ghana’s history. He argued that despite this significant borrowing, the administration has little to show in terms of tangible infrastructure development and meaningful impact on citizens’ livelihoods.
By framing a vote for NPP as a vote for four more years of Akufo-Addo’s leadership, Mahama is emphasizing the need for change and implying that the current administration’s policies have not yielded the desired results. This message is likely to resonate with Ghanaians who are eager for a new direction and improved governance.
