Accra, Ghana – President John Dramani Mahama today received the letters of credence from ten new envoys accredited to Ghana, signalling a renewed commitment to strengthen bilateral and multilateral relations.
The diplomats, representing Africa, Europe, and Asia, pledged to deepen cooperation in areas of trade, investment, security, and cultural exchange during their tenure.
The envoys were:
Colonel (Rtd) Shem Ishahilidza Amadi – High Commissioner of Kenya
Dr. John Mikal Kvistad – Ambassador of the Kingdom of Norway
Mr. Jakob Linulf – Ambassador of Denmark
Mr. Gariballa Khidir Ali – Ambassador of the Republic of Sudan
Mr. Najeeb Durrani – High Commissioner for the Islamic Republic of Pakistan
Mr. Amadou Ndene Ndoye – Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Senegal
Mr. Rune Skinnebach – Ambassador of the European Union (EU)
Mr. Wael Fathy – Ambassador of the Arab Republic of Egypt
Mr. Christian Rogg – British High Commissioner
Mr. Frederik Landshöft – Ambassador of the Federal Republic of Germany
President Mahama, in welcoming the envoys, reaffirmed Ghana’s commitment to peaceful international cooperation.
He expressed optimism that their appointments would open new opportunities for partnership in infrastructure development, energy, trade, and human capital advancement.
“Ghana values the strong relations we have built with your countries over the years,” President Mahama noted. “We look forward to deepening these bonds in ways that will bring mutual benefits to our people.”
The President also encouraged the envoys to explore Ghana’s investment climate under the government’s development agenda, adding that Ghana remains a reliable partner in ensuring regional stability and prosperity.
