The Institute of Public Relations (IPR), Ghana, has announced that its 2025 National Public Relations Summit will be held from 13th to 15th November 2025 at the Western Serene Atlantic Hotel in Takoradi.
The event, themed “Reimagining Public Relations in a Contemporary World,” is expected to draw communication and public relations professionals from across the country.
The annual summit is regarded as the Institute’s flagship gathering, providing a platform for practitioners to discuss industry trends, organizational development, and professional growth.
Speaking ahead of the event, Ms. Esther A. N. Cobbah, FIPR, President of IPR Ghana, said the summit is an opportunity for practitioners to reassess and strengthen their contribution to national development.
“The National PR Summit is more than a professional gathering; it is a moment of reflection, renewal, and rededication to the values that define our profession,” she stated.
“As communicators, we must continue to innovate and lead with integrity, ensuring that our work strengthens connection, understanding, and progress in society.”
Activities Lined Up
The three-day programme will begin on Thursday, 13th November, with a national conference focused on emerging trends in the public relations and communications landscape.
The conference will host discussions on the evolving roles of PR professionals in both traditional and digital communication environments.
On Friday, 14th November, members will convene for the Institute’s Annual General Meeting (AGM), where they will review progress and outline strategic directions for the upcoming year.
The same day will also see the Induction Ceremony, where newly qualified practitioners will be formally admitted into the Institute after completing various levels of the IPR Accreditation Programme.
Another highlight of the day will be the Legends Night, a mentorship and networking platform.
This year, the Institute will honour Dr. Ekwow Spio-Garbrah, a distinguished communication and diplomatic professional.
The summit will culminate in the Excellence Awards Night, also on Friday, to celebrate outstanding performance, innovation and integrity in PR practice.
The ceremony will feature Nana Kobina Nketsia, Paramount Chief of the Esikado Traditional Area, as the Special Guest of Honour.
