The Deputy Minister further elaborated that this national focus includes the major corridors thus the Eastern, Western, Upper, and Lower as well as the Central Corridor (Accra-Kumasi-Tamale dual carriageway and a planned new expressway). He stressed the importance of local connectivity, noting: “All of these roads will be more useful and beneficial if we link them to our community roads.”
He confirmed that the Ayawaso North constituency is one of 166 constituencies benefiting from a budget provision dedicated to improving both road networks and drainage systems. Regarding the project’s completion, Suhuyini provided a clear timeline; “In the next six to seven months, we expect the contractor to hand over the project.”
For his part, Municipal Chief Executive Awal Haruna pledged that his office would ensure strict supervision of the construction. He committed to overseeing the work closely to guarantee that contractors deliver durable, high-quality, and well-constructed roads for the residents of Ayawaso North.
