The Narcotics Control Commission (NACOC) has arrested a 32-year-old woman, Rebecca Afia Naa Dei Kotei, popularly known as “Mother,” during a major drug enforcement operation at Buduburam.

The suspect is widely regarded by residents and local opinion leaders as a central figure in illicit drug activities within the area. She is said to have operated for years while allegedly evading arrest, earning a reputation as a notorious drug dealer.
The operation formed part of NACOC’s ongoing nationwide campaign against drug trafficking and substance abuse. During the raid, officers seized quantities of suspected cannabis, tramadol, and other controlled substances, along with items believed to be associated with drug peddling.

In addition to the main suspect, several other individuals believed to be involved in drug-related activities were arrested and are currently assisting with investigations.

NACOC has reaffirmed its commitment to intensifying operations across the country to dismantle drug networks and curb the growing menace of drug abuse.
