The Ministry of Local Government and Rural Development in collaboration with the Kumasi Metropolitan Assembly and waste management giants Zoomlion Ghana Limited has embarked on a massive Clean-up excercise in the Kumasi Metropolis.
The clean-up excercise was aimed at ensuring that all markets, lorry parks and all public places in the Central business district of the garden city and it’s adjoining towns are clean and hygienic.
This comes after yesterday’s disinfection excercise embarked upon in the Kumasi metropolis and other towns in the Ashanti Region.
It forms part of governments effort at mitigating the spread of the covid 19 outbreak.
Zoomlion Ghana Limited provided massive support for the excercise by deploring some of its mechanical street sweepers and other heavy-duty waste management vehicles to support the excercise.
The Kejetia Market, the Asafo Market, the Bantama, the Ejisu among several others benefited from the excercise.
