A member of the NDC Professionals Forum North America Dzigbordi Akyea said the NPP is unhappy with the fact that the NDC has become the first of the two major parties to put a woman on its Presidential ticket.
The NDC this month announced Prof. Naana Jane Opoku-Agyemang as its 2020 Running mate giving her great at shot at the possibility of becoming the first female Vice President.
The NPP has in response questioned the capacity of the highly qualified former Vice Chancellor of the University of Cape Coast with the minority leader retorting “can that woman be called the President of Ghana.”

Dzigbordi Akyea told Sena Nombo on the NDC Pro-Forum Hour, the NPP has no real genuine concerns about the capacity of the woman.
She said the NPP is reacting out of the pain of being beaten to the historic “punch.”
Dzigbordi Akyea said the NPP wished they were in the NDC’s boots.
